Hugh Bannerman

Biography

Hugh Bannerman was a journalist whose writing and reporting contributed to the public discourse of his time. Born in 1887, he pursued his career in journalism during the early twentieth century, sharing stories and information with his readers.

Bannerman made the supreme sacrifice in 1917 during the First World War, giving his life for his nation. He was interred at Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, where he rests among the honored fallen of the Great War.
