Biography
Immanuel Löw was the rabbi of Szeged and a leading Jewish scholar whose studies of Hebrew botany, linguistics, and tradition produced enduring works such as his botanical treatises on the Talmud and rabbinical lexicons.
He was also a public figure who supported Jewish education, communal welfare, and parliamentary representation, ensuring that both faith and science informed his service, and he is buried in Szeged where he long ministered.
