Biography
Lajos Makai, born in 1914 in Szeged, pursued the study of physics with a keen mind and a patient curiosity about the natural world. His research contributed to local academic conversations, and he took pride in mentoring students eager to discover new truths through experiment and reason.
He cultivated a culture of disciplined inquiry at Szeged, and his thoughtful presence in both classrooms and laboratories is fondly remembered after his death in 1975.
