Irving Hale

Biography

Irving Hale (1861–1930) earned widespread respect as a military officer, rising to the rank of brigadier general and leading Colorado volunteer forces during the Spanish–American War. His leadership also extended into peacetime, where he advocated for veterans' welfare and public health.

He remained dedicated to the communities he served, and his life of disciplined service is commemorated at Fairmount Cemetery, where visitors honor the values he embodied.
