Israel Jennings

Biography

Israel Jennings (1752–1841) enjoyed a remarkably long life that spanned nearly nine decades. He witnessed the founding of the nation and the growth of the young republic, serving as a living link to earlier generations.

Jennings's longevity allowed him to see significant changes in his world. He was buried at Mount Zion Cemetery, where his grave marks the resting place of one who lived through America's formative years.
