Jacob B. Sweitzer

Biography

Jacob B. Sweitzer was a Pennsylvania lawyer and military officer whose service during the Civil War demonstrated courage and leadership. He commanded the 2nd Brigade of the 1st Division, 5th Corps, and played a significant role in the Battle of Gettysburg, one of the war's most consequential engagements.
