Amos Humiston

Biography

Amos Humiston (1830–1863) was a soldier who served his country during the American Civil War with courage and dedication. At the Battle of Gettysburg in July 1863, Humiston fell in defense of the Union, making the ultimate sacrifice for the cause of national preservation and freedom.

His remains were interred at Gettysburg National Cemetery, among thousands of brave soldiers who gave their lives during the nation's greatest trial. Humiston's memory is honored as part of the solemn legacy of those who died to preserve the United States.
