Jacob H. Bromwell

Biography

Jacob H. Bromwell devoted his life to public service in Ohio, first as a professor and later as a congressman representing his state in the U.S. House of Representatives. He believed deeply in the power of education to improve citizens’ lives and worked steadily to support schools and public institutions.

His peers remember him as a thoughtful legislator whose respect for every voter never wavered; he now rests in Spring Grove Cemetery where many honor his dedication.
