Jacob Sloat Fassett

Biography

Jacob Sloat Fassett (1853-1924) rose from the border of business and public service, serving as a United States Representative from New York and lending his voice to the concerns of upstate communities while still attending to private enterprises.

He devoted himself to the civic growth of Rochester, supporting banks, schools, and transportation projects, and his life of service is honored by family and friends visiting Woodlawn Cemetery.
