Biography

Ján Hutyra (1912–1978) was a Catholic priest who dedicated his life to spiritual ministry in Czechoslovakia. Born in the early years of the Czechoslovak Republic, he served his faith community through periods of significant religious and political challenge, including the Nazi occupation and the subsequent communist era.

Father Hutyra's priestly vocation spanned decades of profound change in his nation. He remained committed to his pastoral duties despite the constraints imposed by successive political regimes. He was interred at Brno Central Cemetery, where he is remembered for his faithful service to the Church and his community.
