Biography
Jean Alphonse Meersmans tended gardens with patience, shaping green spaces that comforted neighbors and reflected his deep connection to the soil.
During the war he traded his spade for service in defence of his homeland, and in 1918 he was laid to rest in the Belgian Military Cemetery De Panne.
