Biography
Jean De Mot pursued archaeology with keen curiosity, preserving Belgium's heritage through meticulous study of sites and artifacts that linked the present to centuries past.
The upheaval of war called him from excavation trenches to military ones, and he gave his life in 1918; he now sleeps in the Belgian Military Cemetery De Panne.
