Biography

Joan Maragall (1860–1910) was a celebrated Catalan writer and intellectual whose literary works profoundly influenced Catalan culture and letters. His poetry and prose were characterized by lyrical beauty and philosophical depth, establishing him as one of the most important literary figures of the Catalan Renaissance during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Maragall's contributions to Catalan literature remain enduring and widely studied. He was interred in Sant Gervasi cemetery, where his memory is honored as one of Catalonia's most significant literary voices.
