Joe Redington (1917–1999) was a legendary dog musher and pioneering figure in the history of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. His passion for sled dogs and the Alaskan wilderness inspired generations of mushers and helped establish one of the world's most famous endurance competitions.

Redington's contributions to Alaskan culture and the sport of dog mushing are celebrated and remembered by the community he helped shape. He is laid to rest at Wasilla Aurora Cemetery, a fitting tribute to a man whose legacy remains woven into the fabric of Alaska's heritage.
