Joel Fithian

Biography

Joel Fithian was born in 1748 and became a familiar face in the Greenwich Presbyterian congregation, where faith and fellowship provided shelter through the Revolutionary era and into the early nineteenth century.

He welcomed travelers from nearby ports, shared the burdens of neighbors, and supported the church's efforts to comfort the grieving, leaving behind a legacy cherished by those who remember him at the cemetery beside the church.
