Biography

John A. Mead (1841–1920) devoted his energies to public service, striving to strengthen the institutions that supported daily life and civic responsibility in his region.

His leadership left a lasting imprint on the community, and Evergreen Cemetery now holds the remains of a man who believed deeply in giving back to his neighbors.
