John D. Ford devoted the years between 1840 and 1918 to sustaining his family and nurturing the friendships that sustained him, bringing integrity to every endeavor. He greeted life with faithfulness, knowing that steady effort supports those around him.

His passing left a grateful circle of loved ones, and they remember him whenever they visit his gravesite at Green Mount Cemetery.
