John E. Clopp

Biography

John E. Clopp was born in 1845 and answered the call to service during the Civil War, joining with fellow citizens to preserve the Union. His comrades remembered him for steady courage and an unwavering sense of duty even amid the hardships of war.

He was laid to rest at Lawnview Memorial Park, a peaceful place where family and comrades can gather. Though his life was cut short in 1866, the young soldier's fidelity to duty continues to inspire those who study the period.
