John H. Harmon

Biography

John H. Harmon brought warmth and dependability to the Buffalo community during decades of transition, offering friendship and calm leadership to those he encountered. His home and heart belonged to the city as it strove to define itself in the mid-1800s.

When he passed in 1888, friends and neighbors remembered him for generous engagement and a willingness to help where needed. His spirit continues to be honored by those who visit Elmwood Cemetery to reflect on his thoughtful contributions.
