Biography

John J. Albright (1848-1931) was an industrialist whose success inspired generous support for the arts, education, and health care across the region. His gifts helped to establish hospitals, galleries, and scholarship funds that widened opportunity for countless citizens.

He looked upon philanthropy as a way to lift others and cherished the chance to collaborate with local leaders to make lasting improvements. He is interred at Forest Lawn Cemetery, where the institutions he helped to build continue to benefit the public.
