John J. McClellan

Biography

John J. McClellan earned a place in the cultural life of Salt Lake City through his talents as an organist and music educator, serving faithfully for many years as the principal tabernacle organist. He shared music with congregations and provided guidance to younger musicians who admired his artistry.

His dedication to musical excellence and spiritual upliftment endured through his final days, and after his passing in 1925 he was interred at Salt Lake City Cemetery, where his legacy still resonates with those who love sacred music.
