Biography
John J. Wild combined rigorous engineering insight with medical compassion, pioneering techniques that helped lay the foundation for modern diagnostic ultrasound. His dual training allowed him to approach patient care with curiosity, creating tools and approaches that reduced uncertainty for countless families.
Long after his innovations, he remained a treasured mentor to students and junior researchers, encouraging them to keep asking questions and to serve those in need. Laid to rest at Lakewood Cemetery, he is remembered by many colleagues as a gentle force for progress.
