John T. Averill

Biography

John T. Averill's early years brought him to Minnesota, where he combined business acumen with a commitment to community before the Civil War summoned him to service. As colonel of the 6th Minnesota Volunteer Infantry, he led soldiers through the conflict and returned home with a deepened sense of duty to his neighbors.
