John Till Allingham

Biography

John Till Allingham was an English writer whose literary contributions emerged during the early nineteenth century. Though his life was tragically brief, lasting only thirty-six years, he made notable efforts in the literary world, producing works that reflected the sensibilities and concerns of his era.

Allingham's untimely death in 1812 cut short a promising literary career. His burial at Bunhill Fields Burial Ground, a cemetery of considerable historical significance, reflects the respect accorded to him within intellectual and literary circles of his time, despite his relatively short lifespan.
