Biography

Josef Kroupa was born in 1922 in Czechoslovakia. He grew up during the interwar period in the young Czechoslovak Republic, coming of age during a time of relative peace and development.

Kroupa died in 1945 at just twenty-three years of age, during the final year of World War II. He was interred in the National Cemetery in Terezín, where he is remembered among those whose lives were taken by the conflict and occupation.
