Joseph B. Wirthlin

Biography

Joseph B. Wirthlin, serving as an LDS apostle, combined spiritual insight with a warm smile, visiting members from Utah to across the globe and drawing people into the faith through service and reassurance. His addresses often referenced his own experiences as a husband, father, and businessman, grounding doctrine in daily life and encouraging listeners to lift one another up.

He also championed humanitarian efforts, knitting together church and community leaders to respond to crises and then to stay engaged during their recovery. He is buried at Salt Lake City Cemetery, leaving behind congregations who still cherish his gentle guidance.
