Biography

Joseph Clark Baldwin Jr. grew up during a time of great transformation and he devoted his energy to the flourishing of his immediate circle and to the civic life that surrounded him, offering steady counsel as his neighbors adapted to a rapidly evolving region.

When he died in 1937 he was celebrated for measured judgment and quiet generosity, and he rests at Woodlawn Cemetery.
