Biography

József Siegl was an accomplished Hungarian association football player whose athletic career contributed to the development of the sport in Hungary during the early-to-mid twentieth century. He was part of a generation of players who helped establish football as a significant sport in Hungarian culture.

Siegl's participation in Hungarian football is remembered as part of the country's sporting heritage. He lived from 1894 to 1981 and was laid to rest in the New Public Cemetery, Budapest, where his memory is preserved among other notable figures in Hungarian history.
