Biography

Julius Goldzier brought the experiences of an immigrant upbringing to his service as a Chicago alderman and later as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, where he advocated for honest government and fair treatment of working families.

He remained active in civic charities and organizations that welcomed newcomers to the city, believing that a thriving democracy required inclusive attention to every neighborhood.
