Biography
Karel Kilcher pursued the practice of medicine with a kind and attentive manner, seeking to relieve suffering in the rapidly changing society of late nineteenth-century Prague.
Though he died young, his work at the bedside and in surgical practice left an impression of professionalism and empathy that endures in the memories of those he healed and in the peaceful grounds of Olšany Cemetery.
