Biography
Romuald Skála was a Czech painter whose artistic work contributed to the visual culture of the 19th century. His paintings reflected the aesthetic sensibilities and artistic movements of his era during a period of Czech cultural development.
Skála's career as a painter spanned much of the latter half of the 19th century, allowing him to participate in the broader artistic renaissance of Czech lands. He remained active in his artistic practice until his death in 1901.
