Biography

Krastyu Marinov (1855-1927) rose to the responsibilities of military service as the new Bulgarian army took form, committing himself to the defense of the homeland and the training of recruits. He united firmness with humanity, always seeking to instill pride and discipline in those he commanded.

After his passing he was honored as one of the officers who helped shape the armed forces, and he rests among the heroes of Central Sofia Cemetery.
