Biography
L. Bradford Prince earned distinction as a lawyer, writer, and public servant whose curiosity about the American Southwest shaped decades of work. He served as governor of the New Mexico Territory and sought to guide that region toward stability while listening to the voices of its inhabitants.
An avid historian and supporter of archaeological preservation, Prince also wrote about the land's rich cultures and promoted respectful monuments to its past; his ashes rest at Flushing Cemetery among those who admired his stewardship.
