Biography

Leslie Stuart, born Thomas Augustine Barrett, lit up Edwardian musical theatre with lively scores for shows such as Florodora and The Belle of New York, winning audiences with elegant melodies and clever arrangements.

His tunes defined the sparkle of the era, and even after the height of his fame he remained a cherished figure in the musical community before being laid to rest in Richmond Cemetery.
