Lord Arthur Lennox
1806–1864 (age 58)
Biography
Lord Arthur Lennox, the second son of the Duke of Richmond, carried the calm sense of duty he learned in the Life Guards into a long career in Parliament, where he represented Chichester and later other boroughs with the steady hand of a gentleman soldier.
He maintained an earnest interest in local charities and the welfare of his constituents, acting on behalf of veterans and the poor while also offering measured counsel during the debates of the mid nineteenth century.
