Biography

Lucia Agar-Ellis, born in 1827, nurtured a gracious bearing which she turned to the service of others, offering friendship and encouragement across the Blithfield parish. She moved gently among those who needed a listening ear, lending her support to charitable undertakings and sustaining the sense of community that grounded the village.

Her devotion found a familiar home in the Church of St Leonard, where she joined in worship and prayer, sustaining religious life with dignity and warmth. Lucia was long commended for the steadfastness of her faith and the kindness she inspired in others.
