Lucretia Webb Swift

Biography

Lucretia Webb Swift was born in 1775 and lived a life spanning nearly seven decades of American history. She witnessed the Revolutionary War, the founding of the republic, and the early growth of the nation, contributing to her community through her presence and family connections during this transformative period.

Swift passed away in 1843 at the age of 68 and was laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery. Her long life allowed her to see the young nation mature and establish itself as a permanent fixture in the world.
