Mahlon Dickerson

Biography

Mahlon Dickerson was born in 1770 and witnessed the American Revolution firsthand, living through the birth of the nation and its early development. His eighty-three years spanned from the colonial period through the early nineteenth century, providing him with a unique historical perspective.

Dickerson was laid to rest at First Presbyterian Church Cemetery in 1853, his burial place reflecting his community connections. He remained a notable figure throughout his long and eventful life.
