Marcel Dourgnon

Biography

Marcel Dourgnon (1858–1911) was a French architect whose innovative designs and architectural vision contributed to the development of French building and urban design in the late nineteenth century. His work exemplified the artistic and technical achievements of his profession.

Though his life was cut short, Dourgnon's architectural legacy endures, and he is commemorated at Père Lachaise Cemetery, a fitting resting place for one who shaped the physical landscape of France.
