Marie Kalergi

Biography

Marie Kalergi (1840–1877) was an Austrian woman of the nineteenth century whose life spanned a period of significant cultural and social change in Vienna. Though her life was brief, she was part of the vibrant intellectual and social circles of her era.

Kalergi's legacy is preserved in the records of Hietzing Cemetery, where she was interred. She represents the many accomplished women of her time whose contributions to society, though sometimes overlooked by history, enriched the cultural fabric of the Austrian capital.
