Biography
Marko Voronyi (1904–1937) was a Ukrainian poet whose brief life spanned a period of significant cultural and political upheaval. His poetry emerged during the Soviet era, contributing to the literary landscape of early twentieth-century Ukraine.
Voronyi was executed at Sandarmokh in 1937 during Stalin's purges, which claimed countless intellectuals and cultural figures. His death at age thirty-three cut short a promising literary career during one of the darkest chapters of Soviet history.
