Mary Abiah Dodge

Biography

Mary Abiah Dodge was born in 1808 and came of age during the early decades of the American republic. She lived through a period of significant national expansion and social change that characterized the 19th century.

Dodge passed away in 1857 and was laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery. Her life spanned nearly five decades of American history, during which she witnessed the nation's continued growth and development.
