Mary Ede

Biography

Mary Ede lived a brief life during the late eighteenth century, passing away in 1804 at the age of thirty-five. She was laid to rest in South Park Street Cemetery, one of Calcutta's historic burial grounds.

Though details of her life remain sparse, her interment in this significant cemetery reflects her place within the Anglo-Indian community of her time. She is remembered as part of the generations who shaped the early history of British India.
