Mary K. Kercheval

Biography

Mary K. Kercheval, born in 1835, lived through eras of great transition and is remembered for the grace with which she navigated them. Though little written record survives of her daily life, the remembrance preserved by descendants testifies to the cherished role she played.

She was laid to rest at Woodmere Cemetery in 1910, and her grave continues to be a place where visitors can reflect upon the gentleness she represented.
