Mary McVicker Booth, born in 1848, brought grace to the stage and served as a beloved supporter of the theatrical community in Chicago and beyond. As an actress and later the wife of Edwin Booth, she balanced artistry with a generous spirit that comforted colleagues and patrons alike.
