Mary Turner Sargent

Biography

Mary Turner Sargent lived seventy years, from 1743 to 1813, spanning the colonial period through the early decades of American independence. She was interred at Mount Auburn Cemetery, one of America's most historically significant burial grounds.

Mary's long life allowed her to witness the Revolutionary War and the founding of the United States, making her part of a generation that experienced the nation's most formative moments.
