Mary Weeks Parker

Biography

Mary Weeks Parker (1783–1863) was a New England woman whose life extended from the founding era of the United States through the Civil War period. She lived through the early decades of American independence and witnessed the nation's growth and development across nearly eighty years.

Her long life provided her with perspective on the significant changes that transformed American society in the nineteenth century. She was laid to rest at Mount Auburn Cemetery, where she is remembered as a valued member of her family and community.
