Biography

Marzena Skotnicówna was a pioneering Polish rock climber who made her mark on the mountaineering community during the early twentieth century. Though her life was tragically brief, she demonstrated exceptional skill and courage in pursuing her passion for climbing in the Tatra Mountains.

Her legacy endures as a testament to the spirit of adventure and dedication to mountaineering that defined her era. She remains remembered in Zakopane, the heart of Polish alpine culture, where she is laid to rest in the New Cemetery.
