Max Corput

Biography

Max Corput was born in 1825 and came to embody the endurance of a generation that navigated the turbulence of the Civil War and its aftermath. While few details survive of his daily labors, it was clear that he cherished his family and community, offering steadiness to those around him.

He was laid to rest in Oakland Cemetery in 1911, leaving behind memories of a long life lived through both hardship and renewal.
