Max Delbrück (1906–1981) was a pioneering molecular biologist whose groundbreaking work fundamentally advanced our understanding of genetics and molecular biology. His contributions to science earned him recognition as one of the twentieth century's most influential biological researchers.

Delbrück's legacy continues through the scientific community and the discoveries that built upon his foundational work. He is interred at Mountain View Cemetery and Mausoleum, a final resting place befitting a scholar of his stature.
